My name is Raiyon Hunter and I am a sophomore Theatre and performance major at Spelman College. This year, I have had the honor of being accepted into The British Academy of Dramatic Arts' Summer in Oxford program in Oxford, London. The British Academy of Dramatic Arts (BADA) is known for its intense Shakespeare training.
During my matriculation at Spelman, I have been a part of shows such as Saturday Night, Sunday Morning, The Colored Museum, Milk Like Sugar, Xtigone, Romeo and Juliet and more. I have been involved in our department in every aspect as an actor, assistant director, assistant stage manager, and anything that needs to be done. After Assistant Directing Romeo and Juliet, I wanted to learn more about classical work and Shakespeare. Since then, BADA has been a dream of mine.
The British American Drama Academy would be a great opportunity and tool to add into my belt. would have the opportunity to learn from the best artists in the United Kingdom. In addition, I would be guaranteed networking opportunities that I could foster for a lifetime. I would be eternally grateful for any donation to help bring this dream of mine to fruition.
