Ratatouille Rats

My students are going to be studying a unit on Body Systems in January.  After various lessons and modeling of different systems in class, I want them to have the opportunity to dissect a mammal, such as a rat.  I feel this would give them an opportunity to have a real-world experience where they can compare their own body systems to another mammal.  My students are more than excited about the possibility of this.  They will be hosting a movie night at our school, featuring Disney's pixar film "Ratatouille" on December 14th.  The proceeds will help to raise funds for the dissection costs.  Will we be passing out a cheese flavored snack for anyone that comes.  I feel these dissections will be an engaging activity and will create a meaningful and lasting experience for all my students.
