This photo is the photo that I took as we left the beach on Saturday, May 29, 2021. Little did I know that while I was taking this photo, there was someone in my house taking most of the valuables we had. Or maybe it was right before, we don't know how long
While some of these things can be replaced, some cannot. I won't be able to pass on my grandfather's wedding ring to my son and I lost photos that I cannot replace. My husband lost his coin collection in which he had a wheat back penny collection he's been collecting for 25 years. We regrettably had a cash fund that was sent to us from a couple family members for our family vacation this summer and instead of putting it into the bank, I put it into a drawer. A part of that money was also from my kids' great grandparents to put in their education accounts and being a busy mom, I just decided that I would do it later. Later came and went and it's gone.
I am endlessly grateful that I didn't come home for snacks because I had run short of snacks and the kids were complaining. I drove past my house from the beach to go pickup something and when I drove past I saw a vehicle that I don't know in the driveway of our building. I had the strangest feeling and thought I should keep on driving, they can wait for snacks. I almost came home to these burglars, I was alone with my 2 young kids. Who knows what could have happened.
We weren't able to afford renters insurance last year when it was up for renewal so we unfortunately let it lapse and so we are paying out of pocket to replace these items.
It feels really weird to reach out and ask for help because I never ask for help but I'm asking if you're able to help us get our kids to the camping trip we told them all about and on the road trip we have planned for the end of summer, please send us any help that you can, even if it is sending love, light, and thoughts ~ we will be forever grateful for any help. We appreciate you reading this and riding this journey with us.
Thankful for each and every one of you! Seriously. From the bottom of our hearts! It's easy to see only dark and evil after something like this but I know there is so much good out there in the world and I know because we have experienced it. Even before today we are constantly blessed by people in our lives. You all mean the world to us, thank you ~ kindness and love from our family ❤♀️
