Reactica 2024 - Support Live Domino and Machine Art!

Reactica 2024 is partially funded out of pocket, so any donations would be appreciated to help further cover flights, meals, materials, and other travel accommodations for the team!

Reactica is an annual live domino and machine build event hosted in San Jose, CA and established in 2016 by Alex Huang, a recent college graduate and kinetic artist known on YouTube as Flash Domino. For eight years in a row, the Reactica team has built the largest live domino and machine exhibit in California, and plans to do so again for the ninth year in 2024. Previous events had a live audience of hundreds, an annual YouTube video with thousands of views, and coverage by local news stations.

The theme of Reactica 2024 is "Kinetic Carnival": a giant domino and machine setup that looks like a miniature model of an amusement park. Following the success of last year's theme, "Topple Town", Reactica is once again bringing everyday atmospheres and environments to life by re-creating them out of dominoes and machines! The Kinetic Carnival will be complete with all different types of park entertainment, including thrill rides, carnival games, circus acts, parades, and food trucks. With this year's target of 40,000 dominoes and 200 machine steps, this will be by far the largest build the team has ever attempted.

The Reactica team is comprised of seasoned builders that have also helped many other teams create live domino and machine exhibits across the globe. Members of the team have built domino and machine themed commercials for clients like Coca-Cola, Pizza Hut, Gilette, Disney World, Sylvania, McDonalds, and Golden State Warriors. Part of the Reactica team even participated in Domino Masters on FOX, a primetime reality TV competition show that brought dominoes and machines to the big screen. The Reactica team also welcomes newer builders each year as kinetic art continues to reach a larger community.

Come visit the team for Reactica 2024 during July 7 to July 13 at The Tech Interactive in San Jose, CA. The setup gets toppled on July 13 at 1:00 pm.
