Rebuilding the Alameda Family Home: Restoring HOPE together
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Hearts,
In June 2022, our plans to convert our two-car garage into a MIL apartment for Shauns aging parents ended when it rained inside our house. After entrusting a contractor with $82k, he removed our roof, exposing us to the elements, and abandoned the job causing over $600k in damages.
Our family of five now lives in an RV parked next to our fully gutted home. It's been a challenging journey.
An amazing community of volunteer builders has rallied around our family and is working hard to put our house back together.
However, despite their generosity and hard work, we're facing a significant hurdle – the lack of funds for materials. The cost of rebuilding our home is substantial.
We've launched this GoFundMe campaign in hopes of raising funds for the essential materials needed to rebuild our family home. Every dollar donated will go directly towards purchasing siding, drywall, electrical supplies, plumbing supplies, a water heater, furnace, and more.
Moreover, we're hoping that our GoFundMe will be shared far and wide. Perhaps, through the power of community, other contractors will be inspired to volunteer their time and skills, or supply companies will see our humble pleas for materials and donate to our cause.
Your contribution will make a world of difference to us. It's not just about rebuilding walls and roofs; it's about rebuilding our lives, our sense of security, and our hope for the future.
We understand that times are tough for everyone, but if you find it in your heart to donate, your kindness and generosity will not be forgotten, and we promise to pay it forward.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering our plea and for being a beacon of hope in our time of need. Together, we can overcome this obstacle and rebuild our home, stick by stick, with love, resilience, and the support of our community.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Shaun & Julie Alameda
