Remembering Michael Gioscio: Loving Father, Husband & Friend

Dear Friends and Family,

My name is Lindsay Gioscio, and I’m 27 years old. I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart after receiving a phone call no one dreams of getting—on Saturday, September 21, 2024, my dad, Michael Anthony Gioscio, passed away unexpectedly. I was in Austin, TX, when I received the news, and I’m still trying to process the loss of such a remarkable man.

Born on November 13, 1957, in Connecticut, my dad lived a life filled with love and laughter. He spent his later years in Franklin, MA, and Attleboro, MA, where he created countless memories with his family. He leaves behind his wife, Laurie; his sons, Steven and Brian; me, his daughter, Lindsay; and his beloved mother, Dorothy.

Dad was the kind of person who brightened every room he entered. He loved taking neighborhood walks, often stopping to carry treats for all the neighborhood dogs. His pride in his children was evident in everything he did, and he cherished every moment spent with his family, especially with his granddogs. He was a huge fan of golf and Boston sports, a storyteller, a hardworking man, and an extrovert with a kind spirit.

As we navigate this incredibly difficult time of loss and grief, we’re seeking support to help cover the costs of flowers and services. My dad leaves behind his loving wife, Laurie and we want to ensure that she can celebrate the life he lived and the love he shared without the added burden of financial stress during this already overwhelming time. Your kindness and generosity will help us create a beautiful farewell that reflects the warmth and joy he brought to all of our lives.
