Remembering Mrs Hardwick

At the end of 2021, we sadly lost our colleague, friend and headteacher at Churchfield. For all of us at Churchfield, Mrs Hardwick has always been a strong, dynamic, and inspirational leader. She was passionate about the children who attended Churchfield and they were always her priority. Her passing has been an enormous shock. It is hard to put into words how much we will all miss her, and the profound sense of loss we all now feel.

 

Mrs Hardwick was enormously proud of all the children who attended Churchfield, past and present. She loved to spend time chatting with them in class and during lunch time when she would eat lunch daily with them in the dining hall.

 

As you know, Mrs Hardwick’s personal faith was a huge part of her life, and it guided her through good and difficult times. She loved Churchfield and all of the community and was always doing what she could to help others.

 

To celebrate her birthday on Tuesday 11th January 2022, we are raising funds for a charity which will be chosen by her family (to be confirmed once finalised). Mrs Hardwick had very clear instructions before her passing which her family have shared with us. With this in mind, we are asking children to come into school on Tuesday 11th January 2022 in bright colours in memory of her and donate in her memory.

 

We thank you for all of your support, and we will continue to honour Mrs Hardwick's legacy as we navigate this journey together.
