Remembering Samean aka Steven Phon: Funeral Fund Support

Hello friends and family,

 

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts to inform you that our uncle, Samean aka Steven Phon has passed away on June 6th, 2024. He was 60 years old.

 

All proceeds will go toward funeral expenses for our loving Uncle.

On May 30, 2024 our uncle had a heart attack and was admitted to the hospital. At the time of the event, he was working at the donut shop and Rickey, his coworker/friend found him on the floor. Soon after, the ambulance came and couldn’t find a pulse. He was in the hospital for six days with a breathing tube. Still unconscious, asleep, slightly alert, however, there was no oxygen flowing to the brain. With hope and prayers that he would wake up, on his 7th day, the family decided to take the breathing tube off, to let him go peacefully.

He didn’t get to say his last words or goodbyes.

Pou Meean/Tha Meean, you are truly missed. We want you to know we all love you very much much.

Our beloved uncle was a very hard worker. Worked 7 days a week at Mom’s Donuts in Ontario. His labor was his love. He enjoyed what he did. He saw his customers as his friends and family. A special thank you to his donut shop family, his customers, and Rickey, thank you all very much for taking care of our uncle. The family appreciate you all.

For those who know Steven, he’s a kind soul. Friendliest person you’ll ever meet. Reserved, cool, calm, and collective.

One memory I’ll always remember about my uncle is he always showered me with food. He knew I love to eat. He never left me starving. Always bringing a generous amount of food. Thank you Pou Meean for being a great uncle.
