It costs over $1000 per month to keep our horses fed. That doesn't count our Rent which is $1000/ month.. or Vet bills that average $100/ horse per month. Each horse has hoof trims every six weeks for $175 total.
Last month we had extraordinary medical expenses for a condition called Moonblindness that Stormy had contracted. Fortunately the treatment worked and he regained his vision...but it requiring.the expenseof Veterinarian visits and medication.
A Therapy horse's work is very challenging and requires ongoing special training to be a therapy horse.
Renaissance Healing and Learning Center provides physical therapy on horseback to individuals with neurological, emotional, and physical conditions. We provide services to individuals with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Down Syndrome, back pain, and for those who have suffered a stroke or who have injuries due to a car accident, among many others. Please sponsor a horse or help us maintain our horses so that we can continue to provide care to those who are in need. Thank you so much for your kindness and donation.
