Hola. Gracias por dedicarme algo de tu tiempo. Yo siempre estaré agradecido por eso.

Mi nombre es José Luis Pietri, mi cédula de identidad es V-6.971.482 y soy discapacitado por 4 cirugías de columna cervical, más una de emergencia motivada a que mi espalda se abrió, sí, como lees y puedes ver en una de las imágenes. Sufro de dolores realmente espantosos y necesito en ocasiones ayuda para las actividades de la vida diaria dada la malformación causada por una de las cirugía, la última por cierto, ya no hay posibilidad a entender de algunos Dres. que vieron el caso de arreglar la columna, pero sí de vivir mejor y con menos dolores.

Ya desde hace algún tiempo no tengo recursos para hacerme exámenes médicos periódicos, los cuales son, resonancia magnética, radiografías antero posteriores, laterales y dinámicas, tomografía (cérvico/dorsal) y exámenes de sangre.

Tampoco puedo hacer terapias de fisiatría la cual me es indispensable para que la atrofia crónica que tengo no me inmovilice más. Me cuesta mover mis brazos y mantener mi cabeza recta al caminar y siempre debo usar collarín y dormir en una determinada posición. Estar sentado más de unos 15 minutos aumenta el dolor agudos que ya es intolerable.

Mis medicinas me ayudan, a veces más, a veces menos, a soportar los dolores, con los cuales convivo a diario, otras medicinas me ayudan a dormir algo mejor, sin embargo, me es imposible pagarlas ya que su precio aumentó de forma gigantesca y solo si consigo que alguien esporádicamente esté donando alguna de ellas, entonces es que puedo medicarme aunque sea un poco.

En mis últimos chequeos médicos ya hace más de 2 años y durante una tomografía cervical apareció una pequeña pelota en el pulmón derecho, fue por casualidad que logró verse. Fui a donde un Dr. neumonólogo quien me indicó que debía chequearme eso y para ello emitió un informe (el cual está también adjunto) y una orden médica para hacerme una tomografía con contraste de yodo vía intravenosa para colorear el pulmón y poder saber qué es exactamente ese nódulo y si debe hacerse una biopsia o no. Ahora estoy también frente a ese diagnóstico e igualmente sin poder costearlo, pero ya es hora de enfrentar ese diagnóstico junto al chequeo de mi columna esperando que todos esté bien con esa cantidad de implantes y barra de titanio ya que desde algunas semanas los dolores parecen haber aumentado, entonces es obligatorio proceder en consecuencia y ello motivó esta campaña para solicitar ayuda.

En resumen, yo debo:

1. Adquirir mis medicinas, Pregabalina para dolor neuropático, Codeína con antiinflamatorio par crisis de dolores crónicos, Triptanol para un mejor sueño y dolor neuropático y Tramadol para dolor agudo, vitamina complejo B para el sistema nervioso y suplementos vitamínicos.

2. Hacerme exámenes de columna los cules deben ser periódicos (al menos una vez al año o por otra razón que lo amerite) TAC, RMN y RX para evaluar la actual condición de la columna cérvico/dorsal.

3. Hacerme TAC con contrate de yodo en mi pulmón derecho y esperar que no haya necesidad de biopsia u otros exámenes. Pero esa posibilidad está latente.

4. Retomar las sesiones de fisioterapia para mejorar tono de la musculatura atrofiada. Es importante mejorar en lo posible mi atrofia muscular.

5. Por último debo destacar que no estoy exento de un nueva cirugía. La razón de esto es que los implantes tienen una vida útil y aunado a ello la debilidad de mis huesos que no tienen la mejor calidad ósea en palabras de los Dres.

My name is José Luis Pietri, I am Venezuelan and my identity card is V-6,971,482.

I got a disability by having 4 cervical spine surgeries, plus another one of emergency motivated to my back opened, yes, as you read and you can see in one of the images. I sufferreally terrible pains and sometimes I need help for the activities of daily life due of the malformation caused by one of the surgeries, the last one by the way. The Doctors thought there was no possibility for fixing the column, but they said I was going to have a better quality of live with less pain.

It has been a while since I have not had the resources to do periodic medical exams, which are magnetic resonance imaging, anteroposterior, lateral and dynamic radiographs, tomography (cervical / dorsal) and blood tests.

I can´t not afford to do physiatry therapies either, which is essential for my chronic atrophy because I should not to immobilize me anymore. I find it difficult to move my arms and keep my head straight when walking and I must always wear a collar and sleep in a certain position. Sitting more than 15 minutes increases the acute pain that is already intolerable.

My medicines help me, to endure the pain, with which I live daily, other medicines help me to sleep better, however, I cannot afford them because their price increased enormously and only get them If someone sporadically donate some me of them so I can medicate.

In my last medical check-ups (more than 2 years ago) during a cervical tomography a small ball appeared in the right lung, it was by chance that the radiologist managed to see it. I went to a pulmonologist who told me that he should check that and for that he issued a report (which is also attached) and a medical order to have a tomography with intravenous iodine contrast to color the lung and be able to know what it is exactly that nodule and whether a biopsy should be done or not. Now I am also facing that diagnosis and equally unable to afford it, but it is time to face that diagnosis with the checkup of my spine waiting for everyone to be fine with that number of implants and titanium bar since for some weeks the pains seem to have increased, then it is mandatory to proceed accordingly and this motivated this campaign to request help.

In summary, I must:

1. Acquire the following medicines: Pregabalin for neuropathic pain, Codeine with anti-inflammatory pair chronic pain crisis, Triptanol for better sleep and neuropathic pain and Tramadol for acute pain, vitamin B complex for the nervous system and vitamin supplements.

2. Get done the CT, MRI and RX column exam to evaluate the current condition of the cervical / dorsal column.

3. Get a CAT scan with iodine in my right lung and hope that there is no need for biopsy or other tests.

4. Resume physiotherapy sessions to improve atrophied muscle tone.

5. Finally I must emphasize that I am not exempt from a new surgery. The reason for this is that the implants have a useful life and coupled with it the weakness of my bones that do not have the best bone quality in the words of Drs.
