Richard Walsh

Hi, My name is Evelyn, sister to Richard Walsh. Richard was my eldest brother, from my mother’s first marriage, brother also to 7 other siblings. Richard sadly passed away on the 28th June 2024 aged 58, due to ongoing health conditions. My brother was the funniest, kindest soul, he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Richard struggled from mental health issues from a young child, and was diagnosed with schizophrenia, something that wasn’t understood as much as it is today. He was bright and intelligent, and always made others laugh. He was so innocent, and had big dreams of having a yacht, and looking after all of the other siblings, with his millions of pounds (which obviously he didn’t have!) My brother was always there for me growing up as a child, as my Dad was not around, and I learnt to understand his disability and to NOT judge. I would really like to raise money to have a beautiful send off for him, which he completely deserves. I appreciate how difficult times are for many of us, but any donations, no matter how little would be so grateful, which contributions also going to MIND, to helps more awareness around mental health conditions.
