Richie Phelps

My name is Jessie Phelps. I am reaching out as a mother who is trying to make sense of a disease that has inflicted one of my kiddos, Richard Phelps. The disease is epilepsy and it has turned his world, his wife’s world, and his children’s world upside down. To have normalcy in their life has been evasive and not to mention this disease has been cruel. He was taken to the emergency room today due to seizure activity (one of many multiple hospital visits). Now he just lost his job where he took pride in providing for his family. A job where he helped build the business and brought in a lot of money to this business…. He was fired while in the hospital.

To reach out and ask those who know me and know my son for compassion and donate is a very difficult thing to do; however, there is nothing I would not do for my kids even if it means reaching out in this way. The disease itself has taken enough from him and his family.

I am grateful for well wishes, donations, or whatever people bring from the kindness of their heart.
