Support Roberto Rodriguez’s Funeral Service

Hi, my name is Jocelina Rodriguez. I’m helping my family raise funds for a funeral service and burial for my father Roberto Rodriguez, who passed away on February 29th 2024.

Roberto Rodriguez lived in Columbus, Ohio and also lived in Elgin, IL in his 20s.

He came to America at 16 years old from

El paxtle silao Guanajuato, Mexico by himself. Very little educational background, he grew up in poverty, but he made the best of his circumstances.

My family doesn’t come from much, my dad was a loyal worker at a manufacturing company called Allied Mineral Parts. He did the best he could but also left us with a lot of financial challenges. In a period of time where our main focus should be grieving and honoring him, our survival instincts have kicked in as we continue to figure out how to deal with his death.

My father was caring and the main provider for 3 sons and 1 daughter, the oldest son needing to be brought back from Mexico. Our father took him out there to visit family and his plan was to bring him back but unfortunately passed before he was able to do that. Junior, Johny, Juleeo, Ashley, Diana and I were the children of Roberto Rodriguez. Diana and I are already adults who live on our own but my siblings are still very young, in school, going to college. Anything would help immensely. Right now the goal with this go fund me is specifically to pay for the funeral but if we could leave these kids with even just enough for necessities it would be appreciated deeply.

En un período de tiempo en el que nuestro principal objetivo debería ser llorarlo y honrarlo, nuestros instintos de supervivencia se han activado mientras continuamos descubriendo cómo lidiar con su muerte.

Mi padre era el cuidado y el principal proveedor de 3 hijos y 1 hija, y el hijo mayor necesitaba ser traído de regreso de México. Nuestro padre lo llevó a visitar a su familia y su plan era traerlo de regreso, pero desafortunadamente falleció antes de que pudiera hacerlo. Junior, Johny, Juleeo, Ashley, Diana y yo éramos hijos de Roberto Rodríguez. Diana y yo ya somos adultos que vivimos solos pero mis hermanos aún son muy pequeños, están en la escuela y van a la universidad. Cualquier cosa sería de gran ayuda. En este momento, el objetivo de este fondo es específicamente pagar el funeral, pero si pudiéramos dejar a estos niños con lo suficiente para cubrir sus necesidades, se lo agradeceríamos profundamente.
