Rose's Surgery and Aaron's Battle with Covid19

Hi, my name is Anne, and I am fundraising for a dear friend Rose Possien. Rose lives in a small RV with her husband Aaron and their dog Dottie-Mae in rural Cochise County, AZ. Rose is a vintage jewelry reseller, and Aaron is U.S. Army Retired. They are passionate about rock hunting in the deserts and mountains of the southwestern US. Together with Dottie-Mae, they are full-time RV'ers. For many years they have worked tirelessly to support Veterans and are now in need themselves.

Rose has very recently been diagnosed with Atlantoaxial instability. An excessive amount of movement between her C1 and C2 spine. Rose has a degree of separation currently at 17mm, an extremely severe amount. The danger is an immediate and permanent paralysis at the very top of her spine or sudden death from severing her spine. Rose needs neuro surgery to stabilize her neck and spine. Any movement can result in catastrophic results or death.

Rose's neurosurgery will be at the University of Arizona Medical Center Banner Health in Tucson, AZ.

Money is urgently needed for costs uncovered by her medical insurance. Also, travel expenses to Tucson are a 160-mile roundtrip. In addition, a rental car and hotel costs for Aaron. Aaron will need to stay in Tucson to be her advocate and emotional family support. She is anticipating an extended stay in Tucson at the hospital and a rehabilitation center. It may not be possible to return to living in an RV for some time. Additionally, their beloved dog Dottie-May must be in a boarding kennel.

As they have helped so many over the years, it is my turn to help them with this fundraiser. Of course, no one ever wants to be in their position. However, I believe that working to support one another is why we are here on earth. Thank you for helping with this effort.
