Rubi's Covid Relief and Taqueria Fund

Since 1997, we at Rubi's have been providing authentic Mexican food from the historical Maxwell street market. Every Sunday we would set up our stand and with love and enthusiasm, serve our grandmothers original recipes to our loyal costumers. Rubi's is a family operated and owned business. From one small stand in Maxwell st. market, we have appeared on tv shows, newspapers, magazines, cookbooks and even radio! We believe that our costumers are the reason our food has travelled to many places and tasted by people of all walks of life. Rubi's has evolved along with the market, adapting to the many changes that the city has made to Maxwell street throughout the years but unfortunately, the latest changes have been very difficult to adapt to. The city informed us that Maxwell st. market will NOT re-open for the remainder of 2020 due to the unfortunate pandemic and with it our hopes to get back out there and serve our loyal costumers, many who we consider family, have vanished. With much humbleness and grace, we at Rubi's have decided to open this GoFundMe to ask you, our costumers who have always supported us through our journey at Maxwell st. To help us with whatever you deem fair. Your donations will go towards opening a spot for us to provide curbside pick up and also to catch up with expenses that this pandemic has imposed on our business and daily lives.
