Hello everyone,

Sharmaine Ryza Talavera (15) passed away from brain cancer - Stage 4 High Grade Glioma on September 5, 2024 at 17:46 PM.

Ryza fought against the tumor 'til her very last breath. Continued to smile, laugh, joke, and reminded us how much she loved us and with our words and actions, we also kept on letting her know how much she's loved. She peacefully passed with us holding her in our arms.

The decision to surgically remove the tumor, chemotherapy, radiation, the clinical trial and taking large varieties of medicine were decided by her. We prioritized her comfort, supported her and listened to every single request/wish she had.

Although she went through a lot of pain and discomfort for over a year, she still managed to bring smiles to her family/friends. With Ryza's selfless nature, she always put others before herself and has helped us even with the limited mobility she had.

We're currently working on giving my sister a proper burial. Any kind of monetary donation, prayers, and support will be greatly appreciated.

We thank you for taking the time to read about my sister's cancer journey and I'm sure she's grateful as well. Ryza knows she wasn't alone during this journey and knows she had a strong support system every step of the way.
