Sarah Monck - Walk the Wall for MS

Multiple Sclerosis effects roughly 1 in 3000 people throughout Australia. WHAT IS MS?
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the central nervous system in which the myelin (fatty insulating sheathes protecting nerve fibres) becomes damaged and scarred. This impairs how well nerves conduct impulses, affecting a person's motor, sensory and even cognitive functions. The causes of MS are unknown, but genetic and environmental factors are suspected of having some role. The impact of MS on a person's ability to participate in everyday activities varies greatly from person to person.
In May 2013, I was diagnosed with MS and although I am extremely lucky with how this currently effects my life - (touch wood it stays this way!) - it barely has an effect, I do understand the need for continual developments of medical research and it is because of this that I will continue to put my body through training and many, many steps to help those people who can't!
So what are you giving me money for - In September 2018, I will be partaking in a once in a life time challenge and adventure. As part of a MS Australia team we will be hiking parts of the Great Wall of China to raise much needed funds for MS Australia.
So dig deep and help me help others!
