Please help us to save Paradise Doggie Daycare
In 2010 Tine Kellogg seized a chance to open her dream business, Paradise Doggie Daycare. Dogs are not Tine’s business, they are her soul. After nine years of providing a secure and loving environment to our beloved dogs, Tine is now facing a bleak financial reality of her own. The canine influenza virus has wreaked havoc on our canine community with a particularly devastating financial consequence for Paradise Doggie Daycare. As a responsible dog-lover, Tine quickly realized that the only way to prevent the spread of this virus would be to reduce the opportunities for dog-to-dog transfer. With no consideration for the potential loss of income, she immediately closed the daycare and began a rigorous sanitization regimen.
Tine has been an active neighbor and friend in Amador County for decades. She is always willing to lend a hand to those in difficult situations. A few of her most notable compassionate moments:
· Paradise Doggie Daycare unconditionally welcomed all evacuated pets during the Butte and Camp Fires.
· Paradise Doggie Daycare provides Veterans' pets with essential care, grooming, and food at reduced or no cost.
· Paradise Doggie Daycare offers the homeless placement and care assistance for their dogs.
· Paradise Doggie Daycare is an active supporter of local youth groups and activities.
Tine is best known for her enthusiastic love of hounds. In 2006 she discovered the rescue group ABTCR and became a devoted foster parent. Paradise Doggie Daycare was born from her realization that Amador County needed a boarding and daycare facility for pets that could also provide a safe haven for rescued dogs. Even though the daycare was closed to customers, staff continued to care for the fosters that are waiting to be adopted by a furever family.
Paradise Doggie Daycare did not generate a penny of income the last week of June and the month of July will be greatly reduced as her loyal customers recover at home from the illness and receive the necessary preventative vaccinations. This essential business decision will result in a dramatic loss of revenue and may very well force her to close this business, which has become a cornerstone of Amador County. Despite implementing deep cost cutting steps, Paradise Doggie Daycare is in imminent danger of closing as it cannot generate enough revenue to cover necessary expenses.
As a big-hearted member of our community, it is now her turn to receive support from our community. Every donated penny will be used to cover the expenses of rent, utilities, and payroll. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
