Saving one dog/cat at a time
Donation protected
This group started as the Efforts to Save 20 Dogs on Death Row on Dec. 1, 2013.
We banded together to save 20 dogs due for euthanasia Nov. 29., 2013 at the Quezon City Pound in Metro Manila, Philippines. We were able to get a hold order from the Office of the City Mayor for one week to give us time to get the dogs and . save them from being killed.
From Dec. 3 to Dec. 6 (the date of execution), we were able to get all 20 dogs.
On Nov 29, we were also able to get 2 mommies and 12 pups from the QC pound. Unfortunately, one of the puppies died the next day. All 11 pups have been adopted.
On Dec. 3, we got the first pound dog, Faith, and brought her to the clinic. She has been adopted. She is still alive and is about 8-9 years old by now.
On Dec. 4, we got 6 dogs.
On Dec. 5, we got 6 dogs.
On Dec. 6, we got the last batch of 7 dogs.
Also on Dec. 6, the QC Veterinary Office asked us to adopt two cats, on of whom was pregnant. These cats have been adopted.
All the 20 pound dogs have been adopted but actually saved with 34 dogs and 2 cats (a total of 36) from Nov. 29-Dec. 6.
Save ALL also fed dogs in two pounds in 2014: Sundays for Pasig pound dogs and every day for six weeks at the Cainta pound for 88 dogs. Save ALL officers and admins feed strays regularly in different parts of Metro Manila and parts of Luzon, sharing some of the donated dog food or cat food to the stray animals.
To date (January 2019), Save ALL has rescued and given assistance to the rescue of about 423 dogs and cats. Most have been adopted .
There are still some dogs and cats in four foster homes.
We are looking for adopters for the pups and kittens dogs and cats in our care.
We are also seeking assistance to continue keeping the dogs and cats healthy and well through donations in kind and funds. Some we are having difficulty having adopted due to their medical concerns that need special care which rather expensive. Eight are senior dogs, one 3-year-old dog has an underdeveloped kidney (hereditary), one cat is blind, two are one-eyed cats, two 2-year-old dogs . were born with splayed legs but we were able to help them walk and run.
Save ALL has spoken in pet events and in a university about responsible pet ownership and the Animal Welfare Act to create awareness on the law against animal cruelty.
Save ALL helps the Sunday Pets page of Manila Standard promote animal welfare messages such as adopt, dont shop, spay or neuter your pets to control animal population, be a responsible furparent and be kind to animals through articles or stories on dogs and cats and proper care.
Save ALL has also held 12 spy-neuter programs wherein at least 300 dogs and cats have been spayed and neutered to help control animal population, and thus lessen the number of dogs and cats who will be abandoned and will later end up as strays.
Save ALL has also distributed about 5,000 tarpaulins on the Animal Welfare Act that stresses that neglect, abandonment, cruelty against animals are punishable under the said law with imprisonment and a P100,000 fine.
The rescues are housed in Save ALL foster homes, or places of officers and admins of Save ALL.
