Resolution for CAUSE Member Floyd Bibbs

Dear CAUSE Members and Supporters,

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved CAUSE member, Floyd Bibbs. Floyd tirelessly supported CAUSE behind the scenes, contributing in numerous ways. He created and funded our promotional announcement and PSA, which aired on the radio for our CAUSE Teacher lawsuit. Floyd also developed the CAUSE database, was a quiet yet dedicated supporter of my campaign for the Elected School Board and shared his Mother's Day song to honor all mothers. Additionally, Floyd was a published poet, songwriter, and author of professional education materials. His true passion was tutoring and helping young people secure scholarships for college. He will be greatly missed by our teachers and students.

In honor of Floyd’s life and his dedication to youth, CAUSE Teachers and Teach for the Future Inc. are launching an annual Juneteenth Scholarship in his name. The Floyd Bibbs Annual Juneteenth Scholarship will be inaugurated on Juneteenth 2024. This scholarship will continue its mission by supporting as many students as possible on their academic journeys.

We are launching this scholarship on the GoFundMe platform, where friends and family can donate in his memory. Please see the attached document for funeral arrangements. If you would like to contribute to this scholarship, please contact me.
