Thelma battling Invasive squamous cell carcinoma

UPDATE ON THELMA! Had a visit with Thelma yesterday. She still has a long road to recovery and is going to have to have another surgery possibly in November. This being said I’m raising funds for my dear friend! Her Cancer was a nodule that was found on her tongue (Invasive squamous cell carcinoma). She has been unable to eat solid food since her surgery on March 7th. They put a feeding tube in (2nd surgery) and the feeding tube stopped working (3rd surgery). Thelma also has a Meningioma on her Brain that will have to be removed (will be surgery 4). She just started Radiation (30 rounds). Our friendship goes back 25-plus years. Thelma is such a kind and caring person! She gets up at 4:30 in the morning to start her day as a devoted school bus driver, who LOVES children. She is known by her students as Miss Mel or Miss Thelma. Many School Bus Drivers chose to do a job that offers no Health Insurance, and Thelma is one of those people. She has been out of work now with no income coming in for 4 months and will have no income for another 5 or 6 months if not longer. We are a private School Bus Contractor and are unable to afford Health Insurance for all of our employees. So needless to say the bills are rolling in. All funds raised will be used to pay her medical bills. We are counting on help from friends and total strangers to help reach our goal for Thelma.
