Scoliosis Surgery for Hope Rogers

Donation protected
Hope is a bright, beautiful, talented young lady who deserves a chance at a normal life. So far, in her short 12 years, Scoliosis has stolen this from her. She will be having surgery on August 28’th of this year to get her life back. Hope started her Scoliosis journey on August 18’th, 2017. We were told that she had a 42 degree curve in the middle of her back and that it was common to just watch and wait and wear a brace at this stage. After further research, I found out, this was WRONG! So, after researching different spine centers and talking to many different people, we finally got the referral to Leboneur Children’s Hospital in Memphis. While waiting on our referral, Hope woke up on the morning of May 17, 2018 with a severe migraine. She got hit the day before in the spine with a ball, so I took her to the ER. They did a live X-ray, and my suspicions about her spine worsening  were confirmed. Her curve had increased to 64 degrees. They said that her headaches would likely get worse as her curve  got worse. We saw the surgical team in Memphis on June 19’th. Without hesitation, he told us that he was scheduling Hopes surgery on his earliest possible surgery opening. If she doesn’t have this surgery, her spine will eventually cause her to have a lot of trouble breathing and injure her heart, and kidneys. Please, donate so she can have a normal life!
