Insulin pump for type 1 diabetic
Donation protected
Hello my name is Scott Fester I am 18 years old I am a senior in high school and I have type 1 diabetes,I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 2 years ago. The cost of this insulin pump caught me and my family off guard, right now money is tight and it will take a while to pay it off. The cost of this pump is 6000.00$ Insurance paid half and we had to pay half which is good but not great but at least we don't pay 12000.00$ so anything helps. I'm going to tell you the days leading to my diagnosis. I was loosing weight fast not eating anything, it was a serious day , I was 15 minutes away from being in a diabetic coma says the doctor. Changing into the life of a diabetic was very hard, I had to check my sugar 5 times a day and take insulin 2 times a day. My faith in all of this is very important, my church has helped a lot with lots of positive energy and always being there for me. I thank God everyday I am here and I have grown in my faith always. Life is perfect and always will be. With this insulin pump it will relieve the stress of always carrying the shots and always keeping it cold. The insulin pump is always regulating how much insulin is going into my body and will be safer. Thank you so much. God bless.
