The Dunn's Baby Fund

This is the story of Tim and Amy Dunn.   They have been married 16 years. Tim serves as the site pastor of a multi-site church in Cincinnati and Amy works for the church as well.   In addition to serving in the church, Tim is a varsity football coach in their local community and Amy spends the bulk of her time raising their six year old.  Their daughter, Elizabeth, is in Kindergarten and loves gymnastics, her friends, school, and anything “princess.” She has quite the story though.   Amy and Tim tried for 8 years to have a baby.  After years of trying, God blessed them with their amazing little girl (most of us call her Lizzie).  If you had asked them, Tim and Amy would’ve said that if God wanted them to have another baby, HE would open up that door for it to happen. 

 

They have been amazed how God has opened up doors for them during their marriage, from ministry opportunities to volunteering opportunities. And now, God has opened up a great door yet again!  A few months ago a family friend contacted them about a potential opportunity to adopt.  When they heard this they were thrilled.  Amy and Tim had been talking about what it would be like to have another baby.   They got excited and began to dream about watching Elizabeth become a big sister.  After praying about it they told their friend they would absolutely LOVE to be considered. And…they were! After meeting the young mother, she has identified them as the couple she’d like to place her baby with. 

 

When God opens a door you can ignore it, close the door, or walk right through.  That’s what they are doing.  But that comes with some challenges.  Being in fulltime ministry comes with a limited amount of financial resources.  This is where you come in.
