Nobby's Meets Mathew

Mathew darmaged our bar, and destroyed our home. Shanghai Nobby's (affectionately known as "Nobby's" after my father, Norbert Wernicke, who came here and bought the bar upon retiring from the NYPD) is a St. Augustine, FL legendary music venue /landmark that has been opening its doors for 31 years to all music genres, especially punk music. David and I love what we do and the incredibly talented people we are involved with through this adventure. Nobby's is home to many musicians living here or traveling through St. Augustine, FL. (17 different countries have played here too!). Our bar is like a house party. When you are at Nobby's, you are at home. Upon entering our doors, patrons are met with "Welcome Home" painted at the entrance. It is one big family. In support of the music and musicians alike, 100% of the door money collected goes to the bands.

Hurricane Mathew was our latest visitor, and certainly made his home at Nobby's. We need help to repair damages to the bar(i.e. Appliances, Walls, Electrical at bar and everything in a home)while rebuilding our home. In order to continue to keep our "home" open and growing, we need some help.
