Let's put the Bros back on the road

Who are we?
We are three childhood friends, Ivan, Mathieu and Rodolphe - together we are the Sharing Bros.
What are we up to?
We are crossing the American continent from Canada to Brazil during 6 months using only the collaborative economy. Our mission: explore it and share our findings with as many people as possible with a web-series!
Since the beginning of our trip we have:
- Travelled 9,000 km using 46 different rides through 9 countries.
- Interviewed amazing people like Nicolas, co-founder of BlaBlaCar, Casey, co-founder of Couchsurfing and so many more!
- Made 3 videos counting more than 12,000 views on YouTube to date.
Have a look at our last video!
Why do we need help?
It all happened on the 27th of September in San Jose, Costa Rica. We were waiting for our Couchsurfing host, Cesar, sitting in front of the San Pedro Church. We were just there chatting away, loving life, when what seemed like a local mother and her son came to us asking directions.
Both flattered and unsettled, we did our best to help… only to realize 5 minutes later that one of their accomplice had sneaked up from behind, stealing our bag containing the computer we use to edit our videos and our Canon 70D camera.
Since then we have been relentlessly going through every single line of our budget. As it turns out, we could actually afford a new computer to edit our videos!
Unfortunately, we are still missing a camera. We are short on time and our 4th video is waiting! We need to make a move.
What can you do?
Well, this is a crowdfunding campaign so any donation of any amount is more than welcome!
But obviously no worries if cash is in short supply these days. In that case, we would be very grateful if you could spread the word and forward this to your loved ones :)
Why do we use crowdfunding?
- We promised to live 6 months using only the collaboratve economy - in sickness and in health. This is a financial crisis and we will solve it the collaborative way: crowdfunding!
- We turned to you for advice on our Facebook page - you voted for crowdfunding. Crowdfunding, it is!
- Plus, just think how powerful this could be: we’re in the middle of Central America, and we don’t know anyone. Still, with the help of people from all around the world, we can get this project back on track. Anyone from anywhere can make that difference!
Where will your contribution go?
- A second-hand Canon 60D camera + 18-135 lense (We found this bargain on a P2P resale platform here in Panama!) : 500€
- A Camera bag : 45€ (Indispensable to protect our baby)
- Two memory cards : 45€ (For memory, you know...)
- A tripod : 55€ (To keep the camera steady during interviews)
- GoFundMe fees (8% of 700€): 55€
When we come back all the equipment will be passed on to new initiatives. Possibly a new Sharing Bros/Sis' team in Africa or Asia? Who knows!
Thank you so much for your support, a big bro hug to you all !!
