She was so proud to be a Nurse!

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden & unexpected passing of Joanne Newton.

Jo was taken from us on Friday 21st June, at her home whilst surrounded by her loving family.

She leaves behind her partner Wayne and 3 children, Ellis (21), Holly (19) & Lucy (14). Also survived by both of her parents.

Jo was a selfless individual & has always had a passion for caring, starting off as a St John's Ambulance cadet as a teenager. At the age of 22 she qualified as a nurse and has worked within various hospitals/wards, community nursing and then settled working at a local GP surgery.

Jo could light up a room with her beautiful smiling face and had a larger that life "bubbly" personality that was contagious to everyone that met her. She always had time for everyone, putting others before herself.

The simple things in life brought great pleasure to Jo, she loved to bake & was very proud to receive a rosette in a recent competition. She enjoyed socialising with her many friends, & family gatherings were also an important factor in her life.

Jo loved a quiet night in on the sofa with Wayne and her 2 gorgeous dogs, with a glass of Gin or "Jam Shed" in hand.

There was never a dull moment in her presence, with her infectious smile & incredible sense of humour. We know her passing has left a massive void in the lives of those who knew & loved her. Her partner & family are still struggling to come to terms with their loss & cannot imagine their lives without her in it.

Jo's Sudden passing meant that there were no preparations made ahead of time. Therefore we are kindly asking for any donations in lieu of flowers, to contribute towards celebrating her life & allowing us all to say our final farewells to this beautiful woman.
