Shirley S. Home Repair
Shirley S. has recently been approved to Central Oklahoma Habitat For Humanity’s Critical Home Repair program. She has had a very rough couple of years. She was caring for her husband who had been sick and in a coma for about 5 years. The day her husband woke up from his coma was a bittersweet day for Shirley. It was that same day their home was affected by a storm in 2015, which damaged the roof and caused leaking and a lot of sheet rock damage inside the house, on top of some maintenance repairs that already needed to be addressed. This past year Shirley lost her husband and mother, who was battling cancer.
Community Action Agency is helping replace Shirley’s roof, but funds are needed in the amount of $5,000 to complete replacement of siding, windows and dry wall, exterior paint, and electrical repairs, etc.
Your gift will mean a world of difference to Shirley during this challenging time. Amongst all the difficulty Shirley has had to face these past couple of years, she considers receiving help from COHFH's Critical Home Repair a miracle.
