Please take a minute to read, share, donate what you can and say a prayer. Most importantly, don’t think this could never happen to you or someone you love. Sadly, that very tragic thing did happen.
After 27 years of being married and knowing the abusive relationship was over, my son and I began packing a few personal items to get by with after leaving. “Husband and Father” again became enraged and began firing his gun inside the upstairs bedroom before opening fire on us. I was shot multiple times before turning the gun on our son shooting him in the heart. Ending the violence by committing suicide.
Taken away by ambulance the night of July 30, 2017, I never stepped into that house again.
Family and friends cleaned the house out, and 90% of the last 27 years was hauled to the landfill.
My entire world as I knew it, was gone. My only child was gone, forever.
Being left with PTSD and disabled led me to a very dark place attempting suicide 2 years ago.
I have since worked hard these past two years to recover from this tragedy.
I would love to have my own place again, whether it be a rental house or camper. But starting over from literally the ground up, is very hard and exhausting. Therefore, any help is greatly appreciated.
