Plus, $535  in cash donations. On December 15 we funded 42 Restaurant Workers $100 Each  ($4200) On  December 22 we funded 12 more Restaurant Workers $100 Each ($1200) On December 29and 30 we funded 10 more Restaurant Workers $100 Each ($1000) 64 WORKERS  $100 each totally $6, 400 OVER 100 ADDITIONAL WORKERS SHOWED UP AND WE HAD NOT ENOUGH FUNDS TO HELP THEM WE ARE HOPING THAT MORE PEOPLE SHARE AND PARTICIPATE IN THIS CHARITY DRIVE BEFORE AND AFTER THE HOLIDAYS. We identified 101 Restaurants in Poway  were closed  for a week or longer due to the water crisis, leaving 985 workers without a paycheck, including servers, cooks, dishwashers, busers and hosts. These are fathers, mothers, neighbors and students who in many cases earn minimum wage and tips, and live paycheck to paycheck.   Special thanks to the Poway Historical Society for helping us, They raised $178 during Christmas in the Park. We also would like to thank all of our volunteers. AVID STUDENTS from Poway High thank you for your community service. California Coast Credit Union in Poway has been our banking support and so very helpful. Our last distribution will be  on Monday December 30 at the Poway Library . We have over 100 workers hoping to get funded.  Promise, 100% of all donations go to these workers. Note(Go Fund Me does take out their fees which is 2.9%). This effort is being organized by Phil Factor, a retired teacher, counselor and football coach from the Poway Unified School District.
