SOS (Live Sober) Fire Relief Fund

At approximately 5:00 a.m. on Friday February 10th, 2017 there was a devastating fire and one of SOS’s buildings was destroyed, which partially stopped services and left all of the staff and clients SOS serves unsure what to do next. The building and all of its contents are a complete loss. Insurance will cover part of the replacement costs but as we know it's never seems to be enough.

About Us:
Specialized Outpatient Services, Inc. also known as SOS is a non-profit 501c-3 organization in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (tax id# and donation letter can be furnished upon request). SOS provides drug and alcohol treatment, sober housing and other behavioral health services to adults, adolescents, families and children in the Oklahoma City metro area that normally cannot afford it.
SOS has been helping individuals and families who suffer from addictions and related behavioral health problems in the Oklahoma City Metro area since February of 2000. To date SOS has served over 38,000 people (one client at a time, one day at a time) hoping to make a positive impact in the lives SOS touches and the generations to come. The mission of Specialized Outpatient Services, Inc. is to break the cycle of substance abuse and addiction within our community and enhance the quality of life of the individuals SOS serves and their families through the alleviation of human suffering caused by alcoholism, drug addiction and other co-occurring health problems.
SOS has always tried to be one of the first to help and the last to ask for it, but with this kind of loss we are asking you to please open your hearts in aiding SOS with any amount of donation you can provide at this time. Every penny adds up so even small donations are VERY MUCH appreciated. The benefits will ALL go directly to SOS to help rebuild, replace and continue helping the individuals, families and children they serve.
How the money will be spent:
All donations will be used to help SOS with the cost of moving, restarting services, clean-up, replacing and/or restoring all damaged and destroyed items: (computers, printers, office furniture, office supplies, records, etc..) and help SOS continue to provide the needed help and services we provide to the clients and families we help.
