Sound Equipment Stolen from Double Happiness

*EDIT* The club only had liability insurance. We will not be receiving assistance in replacing the items mentioned below.
Hey,
Double Happiness is almost a legend in the Columbus indie music scene. It is owned by a female second generation immigrant, largely struggling against the big name companies in the city. Double Happiness has had its success in the very niche it strives to create. The club reopened after being closed for a small period of time, ready to navigate the world of live performances during Covid.
We all know how important local businesses are in this time. Still finding our footing, Double Happiness was robbed over the weekend. After our cameras had been shut off, individuals proceeded to take over $17k worth of sound equipment. As well as the cash register, liquor, and beer.
The biggest loss we are feeling of course is our sound board and speakers. This is our life blood. We do not operate without it. We are a small bar struggling in a courtyard of the Brewery District, not exactly the place for walking traffic.
If you have ever played or seen a show at Double Happiness, please donate or spread the word. This could be the nail in the coffin for us.
Long live independent music
Thank you for your time
