Stand with the Lacoy Family; The loss of their Brave Fighter

Hello, my father-in-law, Ernie recently lost his brave fight with cancer. He was re-diagnosed just a few weeks ago after initially being told he had allergies. Unfortunately, it turned out to be much worse - he had stage 4 cancer.

Ernie was loved by many, and his passing has left a void in our lives. Ernie's battle with cancer led him to Dana Farber Hospital, where he was first admitted. However, his condition worsened, and he was transferred to Mass General Hospital ICU just under 3 weeks ago. In an effort to open his airway, he was intubated. Sadly, the tumor grew rapidly and did not respond to radiation, leaving Ernie unable to breathe on his own. It was this rapid tumor growth that ultimately led to his untimely death.

During this difficult time, Ernie and his wife Liz have faced medical bills, wake, and cremation costs amounting to tens of thousands of dollars. Ernie was always there to support others during their tough times, and now it is with hope that we can come together and support Liz and the family.
