Hello, my name is LaRon Williams. I should apologize first for possible mistakes in this passage. It is sometimes complicated for me when it comes to typing. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis back in March of 2011. I have gone from walking correctly to using a cane/walker, to almost using a wheelchair, to being forced to stop working, and finally, I lost my family, leaving me with little to no income. My twice of year treatment is Ocrevus, with the price of our treatments being thousands upon thousands. So many patients have hardships. I found the smallest of light that is now a beacon for me and many others in the MS community like myself. The will to live and fight this disease became a beacon that directed me to create ICanBeatMS FaceBook Group and Page. ICBMS is where I have been doing lives Mondays on Facebook. Our mission at ICanBeatMS is not to allow no one to walk this path alone. In doing so, we started the hashtag #StepsAgainstMS. Every year around the 1st of Oct, we restart the #StepsAgainstMS Challenge. We have had thousands of people donate steps for those who can’t walk. We also want to raise $2000 to help MS patients in need. As these funds are raised the will be used to purchase $100 Visa cards to be given to MSWarriors in our ICanBeatMS group and MSWarriors worldwide.
