Stevins Adoption Story

Hello, My name is Brandy! The wonderful little boy pictured is my nephew, Stevin. I took Stevin in when he was 2 months old after he was horrifically abused. Here is his story: Between the age of 4 weeks until he was placed in my care (roughly 2 1/2 months), someone had beaten him. On multiple occasions, severely. The doctor compared his injuries to that of a severe car accident. He was malnourished, his arms were broken at the growth plates in his arm and his wrist was broke. All of his ribs were either fractured or broken, some were crushed. Both of his femurs were broken. He had hand print bruises on his stomach that we were told matched a woman's and that he was likely shaken. His groin and his face were also very bruised. He had been cut under his tongue. His bio mother and father were found guilty in court of severe child abuse and neglect. All of his injuries were in various stages of healing, but they are so grave that we are now being told he may require multiple surgeries as he grows, and we will not know the extent of this until he is in his teenage years. The tape you see on his arms in the picture provided is helping his arms straighten out from the deformity they have from his injuries.

He is now a year and 6 months old! He goes to OT weekly, PT and Ortho Monthly.

He is doing so much better than when I first got him by a long shot, but he still has a long way to go. He has been ahead in just about everything he has done and his PT has constantly praised me on how we've been able to work so well with him. He is such a happy baby!

I am making this gofundme because we have been quoted 2,300+ from a trusted lawyer to terminate his bio parents right and adopt him as ours and any little bit will help us to be closer to our goal for adoption!

He is my special little boy and I want to ensure that he doesn't ever have to go back to the environment that almost cost him his life.
