Sue Hamilton Medical Bills

In November 2018, Sue Hamilton was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. This October, we learned that the cancer has spread to her brain and through her pelvis. She recently had brain surgery to remove the brain cancer. Unfortunately, she no longer has control over her left leg and is currently in a rehab hospital working on learning to walk again using lots of helpful accessories.
She's working very hard, but has a long road ahead of her, including radiation treatment, another surgery, and chemotherapy.
Due to the cancer, she hasn't been able to work since 2018 and the only insurance she has been able to afford comes with a high $7,000 deductible with many exclusions. She has depleted her entire savings on medical bills. In addition, her insurance is already sending letters denying coverage for many of the medically necessary procedures she's had over the past month, and she isn't even out of the hospital yet.
The stress of dealing with the insurance company and all the medical bills adds to the difficulty of already immensely challenging circumstances. Much of the time I've been spending with my mom is consumed by navigating all the bills and financial challenges. It's very overwhelming for the family and a big distraction to actual wellness and healing.
Several people have asked how they might help. If you'd like to contribute to help with some of these medical expenses, it would be a huge blessing to the whole family. There are also several upcoming expenses to get the house set up and accessible for my mom to come home as well as for some home health care visits.
