Sunshine needs eye surgery-will you help?

Hi, my name is Georgia and Sunshine, Sonny is a dear friend of mine. He brightens the day of everyone he meets and finds a way to help anyone he can. In 2019 he had cataract surgery on one eye and is in desperate need to have surgery on the other eye. However, there's a problem. He also has astigmatism in his eye and needs to have that repaired at the same time as the cataract surgery. The problem is that Medicare and Medicaid won't cover astigmatism surgery. The surgery is $1000 and must be paid upfront, it's scheduled for February 27th. Will you please help make it possible for him to have this much-needed surgery?

Since his first eye surgery, he has beaten lung cancer and has multiple myeloma in remission. He goes to dialysis three times each week without having a car, or even a license. Sonny is not only one of the kindest people I know, but he's also one tough cookie!
