Support Boozefighter Uncle Tom

Tom Rogerson ("Uncle Tom") of Moundsville, West Virginia suffered a stroke in August 2021, a few weeks after returning from our Great Lakes Summer Regional Event. Uncle Tom has been a member of the Boozefighter Nation for 11 years, as a brother serving in Chapter 72 out of Wheeling, West Virginia. Throughout Uncle Tom's 11 years in the organization, he has sponsored prospects, held officer positions, and would always step up in a time of need. He loves to pass down stories and traditions to other Boozefighters. His love of the club, motorcycles, and brotherhood has shaped him into the brother we all have become to love and cherish.

Uncle Tom spent a week in the hospital after the stroke and it severely impacted his vision and mobility. The impact of the stroke resulted in Uncle Tom needing further care which led him to a rehabilitation center to focus on regaining mobility of the left side of his body. Uncle Tom completed rehabilitation and was sent home to continue therapy. Six months after returning home, Uncle Tom suffered a second stroke which triggered the left side again. He went back to rehab but the effects of the stroke have really taken a toll on his body. Due to his second stroke, Uncle Tom was let go from his long-time employer which then left him without insurance to cover the medical expenses. This has left a heavy burden on himself and his family.

Uncle Tom has applied for disability but due to the lengthy process, it has left a large gap in their finances. The time frame of when or if he will be approved for disability is still uncertain. His wife Crystal who has medical issues of her own has a lot on her plate and has been taking care of Uncle Tom full time. The family as a whole could really use some love and support.
