Support Deborah Guin's Battle with Cancer

This is for my mother Deborah Guin. Toward the end of June she went to the emergency room because she was having severe prolonged abdominal pain. They ran their tests and did their imaging and they found a tumor the size of a large orange on her ovary. A tumor that was not visible on a scan she had done in November of last year. The size, positon, and alarming rate of growth lead to an immediate referral to an oncologist. That appointment ended with the scheduling of surgery for removal just days later. Sadly biopsies of the removed tumor and surrounding lymphnodes were determined to be malignant. Her oncologists are optimistic but they have her preparing to begin a 6 month course of chemo therapy. Her jugular port is being placed this week and chemo should start in early August. This page is being started primarily for her extensive friend group both in Michigan and in Florida to have a place to donate. If however you're unfamiliar with my mother and you're looking at causes on gofundme to spread your kindness just know, my mom is a hard working woman who is still gainfully employed in her mid 60s. She has never asked anyone for anything she couldn't earn for herself. There are times however when even the most selfless and self reliant among us have their own needs they can't fulfill. Her medical bills are mounting, she has had to miss extensive periods of work in July and will have to be absent frequently going forward. Anything anyone can or will do to help with her medical bills and lost income is greatly appreciated. All donations will be directed by myself (Steven) to her account where direct payments for her medical bills have been arranged. This is for the months she is on chemo where cooking for herself is going to be difficult. Any donation made without an indication on desired use will default to medical expenses.
