Support for Brian O'Neill

On New Year’s Eve, Brian O’Neill (51) was having dinner with close friends and family. He tragically aspirated a piece of meat. Several friends attempted to dislodge the blockage in his windpipe, unsuccessfully. Brian suffered brain damage from lack of oxygen and is now in critical condition on life support.
Brian has been married to his high school sweetheart Joan for 25 years. Brian and Joan have 20-year-old twins, Patrick and Ryan, who are juniors at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Brian's life revolved around his wife, sons, family, and friends. He was an active member of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish and was a youth basketball and baseball coach in the Omaha community. He has profoundly and positively impacted the lives of his family, friends, and associates and is loved by many.
Many have asked how they can help. We created this page for his friends, family, and others to support unexpected medical costs and other expenses surrounding this horrible tragedy. As a healthy and fit 51-year-old there was no way to foresee this happening. Brian and his family appreciate the love, prayers, and support that have been sent their way.
We love you Brian.
