Support for Brittaney Fraser-McCann’s Boys

On Friday December 17th heaven gained a beautiful angel, Brittaney Fraser-McCann.

 

Brittaney passed away in Ottawa hospital after complications during her third endovascular coiling procedure to repair a brain aneurysm she had suffered in February 2021. She was 33.

 

In February, she was diagnosed with Moyamoya disease, a chronic and progressive condition of the arteries in the brain. Brittaney took these diagnoses with strength and grace. She continued to work, support her family, and be the super star friend, sister, and daughter that she was known for.

 

Brittaney worked as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, spending the bulk of her career on the rehabilitation floor and then transferring to the Emergency department during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was a born nurse, having a gifted mind for medical knowledge and patient care. Her most recent career goal was landing a dream position working within the medical cosmetic industry at Hela Beauty and Medical in Downtown Pembroke.

 

Brittaney leaves behind her husband Kelly, and her four children; Wyatt (11), Walter (5), Oliver (4) and Elliott (3), as well as a huge, extended family.

 

Her pride and joy were her family. Especially her children. She loved them to the moon and back and was never shy in sharing the joys of parenting her boys.

 

We know that the loss of Brittaney will be far-reaching. Our hearts break for Kelly, her boys, and her family.

 

She was the best daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend anyone could ask for.

 

Brittaney’s last selfless act, is her being an organ donor. She was able to give the gift of life by donating five organs to five donor recipients.

 

We have started this go fund me page to help Kelly during this difficult time, and to lighten the burden.

 

We all want to help Kelly and the boys in dealing with such a tremendous loss… but we can do this.
