Support for Edward Renz's Funeral Costs

Hello, my name is Mary Kate Renz. I'm the only child of Edward Renz and I'm asking you to help with funeral costs for my father. We bid farewell to Edward C. Renz, a true friend and beacon of light, who departed from this world on May 13th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. Ed walked through life with a gentle strength, touching the lives of everyone he encountered with an unforgettable spirit. He was an advocate for shelter animals, dedicating time and resources to making their world a kinder and loving place. Ed loved the water, boats, the beach, cars, and just having fun in every way possible.

Ed spent his career at NY Telephone (NYNEX) and Lucent (AT&T), travelling to places such as Saudi Arabia, China, and Italy among others. He would always come home many souvenirs for me along with great stories to tell family and friends, which he continued to share with anyone who was lucky enough to be in his presence up until his passing. Ed was also a Senior Master Sergeant with the Air National Guard, which he later served in the reserves at Roslyn AFB, where I had the pleasure of going with him and watching him and his fellow soldiers during a very impressive retreat custom. Ed made friends everywhere, whether in another county, at an air force base or at the local bar (especially at the local bar). Spending time with friends and family while sharing drinks was truly his favorite pastime.

Unfortunately, the last few years of his life were marred with tremendous financial difficulties, only made worse by a myriad of health problems and unfortunately, he passed away with a mountain of debt that my husband and I are struggling to cope with. Any help you can give would go a long way in helping Ed's friends and family focus on the good that he brought to the world, and less on the financial burden we are facing as a result of his passing.
