Support for Good Samaritan's Recovery

Hello everyone,

I am reaching out to ask for your help and support for my dad, who is currently fighting for his life in the hospital. He was involved in a tragic accident while trying to assist a wreck on the highway. The individual he was trying to assist ended up stealing his truck and camper and running him over, leaving him in critical condition. His pelvis is broken, one side of his hip was dislocated the other side was crushed. He has several broken ribs, road rash all over and was nearly scalped. He had the first surgery yesterday to stop internal bleeding, and stitch his scalp back together. He is scheduled for hip replacement in the next day or two depending on how stable he is.

My dad is a true Good Samaritan who has always gone out of his way to help others in need. Unfortunately, his act of kindness has resulted in devastating consequences for him. His truck and camper were stolen and totaled, and his beloved dogs, who were sleeping in the camper at the time, lost their lives in the accident.

The extent of the damage and loss is still unknown, and my dad is currently unaware of the heartbreaking news about his dogs. Despite his own struggles, he is more concerned about the well-being of others and ensuring that everyone else is comfortable and not worried about him.

I am starting this GoFundMe campaign to help cover medical expenses, as well as the costs of repairing or replacing his truck and camper. He has a long road ahead of him with surgery, rehab, modifying his house for his new medical needs, and replacing what was lost and damaged. We have an old electric wheel chair that needs batteries and some TLC to get it in working order to help him get around.
