Support for Jay's Loving Family in Need

Donation protected
  • On Friday, September 13th, my son Jeremy "Jay" Ware was shot multiple times and killed at his home in Lake Charles, LA, where he lived and worked a full-time job while raising his 4 children. He was 29 years old and enjoyed music, learning new things, and spending quality time with his children. He lived 3 hours away from home, which resulted in extra fees to transport him in addition to funeral expenses, and there was no insurance policy. The services are arranged and have definitely created a financial hardship that's weighing heavily. I most definitely need some time to regroup and plan how to eliminate the debt we have incurred and I do plan to take advantage of the complimentary and much-needed counseling services that STAFFMARK offers. This is beyond hard on so many levels, and sincere prayers among donations are greatly needed and appreciated more than I can express. Jeremy had a deep love for family, especially with his mother, who he lovingly called his "T Lady," and his siblings.
  • I encourage ALL fathers to get active and stay active in your children's lives because they need us more than we will ever know. I was not actively involved in my son's life while he was young due to bad choices in life, but thankfully, I made changes and formed a bond with my son that he and I both needed in more ways than one. Jeremy and I were so much alike it scared me at times... and now he's gone forever.
  • I reminded him often, especially when he would make choices he wasn't proud of, that it's never too late to start over... it's not how you start but how you finish that truly matters. All of us have a chapter in our book that we don't want read aloud, but you never know who you can encourage by sharing it and remind them how hope and help along with strong faith can make what seems IMPOSSIBLE... POSSIBLE. I'm a witness, and I'm so glad my son was able to see and share with his children and the rest of our extended blended family how no one can go back and make a new beginning, but anyone can start from now and make a new ending. Rest on, son ️ ✨
