Support for Jorge's Family in Unexpected Loss

Hello my name is Sara.

We are trying to gather money together for my father’s funeral. We were under the impression the insurance company (American General Life Insurance) was going to cover the funeral. We now have to get the money together, due to the death certificate status of pending. They want a cause of death, In order to cover funeral costs. This was unexpected and my father had No underlying health conditions. The medical examiner’s office states it will take 9 months for cause of death. He got admitted,  everything happened with 24 hours.May 2-3.   Doctors at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, were very startled by how quick he declined.  After his passing the director of the hospital offered my brothers and I, a no charge for the autopsy cause they also wanted to know why this happened.

Here’s a little about him.

Jorge Reyes Nava passed away on May 3, 2024, in San Diego, California, at the age of 50. Born on June 1, 1973, in Mexico City, Mexico, Jorge was known for his dedication to health and fitness, often seen working out and enjoying his homemade protein and green shakes.

Jorge was also a highly skilled woodworker with over 25 years of experience. His expertise in crafting beautiful furniture and intricate woodworking in homes was well known and admired. His pieces, marked by their precision and artistry, will continue to be cherished by his family and friends.

Jorge was a beloved father to his two sons, Angel, George and his daughter, Sara. He was also a proud grandfather to Aiden, Jason, Adam, Julian, Rubyann, Sophie, Luna, and one on the way. He is survived by his mother, two sisters, and two brothers.

Dedicated and hardworking, Jorge had a gift for making everyone laugh, even if you had just met him. He always outdid himself in everything he undertook, bringing an extraordinary level of commitment and excellence to all his endeavors.

His family, friends, and all who knew him will miss his enthusiasm for life, his skilled craftsmanship, and his commitment to his family and personal well-being.

With that being said my dad was a healthy man, and young! This happened to very quick. What started with flu like symptoms and having to admit himself to the hospital May 2nd, due trouble breathing.  We currently still have no answers. Why my daddy?!!
