Support for Juana's Family in Difficult Times

Donation protected
Dear community,

CMPI requests your help for the Cristobal Jose family of the Mayan community in Nebraska. Mrs. Eulalia Jose Antonio has suffered the loss of her daughter Juana R. Cristobal Jose. In addition to this painful loss, her family has faced difficult circumstances, losing their home and belongings.

Juana R. Cristobal Jose, Maya Q'anjob'al, only 18 years old, was a young woman full of life and with a good heart. Unfortunately, she became ill with a fever on May 22. Her mother, Doña Eulalia took care of her during her illness, but at the end of May, Juana's health worsened. On June 2, she was taken to the hospital where she was admitted and sadly, on June 5, 2024, she passed away due to a stroke. Since her daughter became ill, Doña Eulalia has been unemployed. Before Juana passed away, the family lost their home due to heavy rains, also losing their clothes, expenses and other material belongings.

Juana arrived in the United States in January of this year 2024 in search of a better life and with the desire to get ahead with her family.

Dona Eulalia recalls, "My daughter before coming to the United States, she used to tell me that she was going to fight with me to get ahead." Juana was a young woman with a fighting spirit, who said that everything was going to turn out well and as time went by things got better for her and her family.

Doña Eulalia, Maya Q'anjob'al, a single mother of 7 children, urgently needs our help in order to excel forward in these difficult times, to cover funeral expenses and the delivery of Juana's body to her homeland in Santa Eulalia, Huehuetenango, Guatemala.

In addition, the funds will help the family with their immediate needs such as housing, basic necessities (clothing, food, and daily expenses).

Every donation will make a significant difference and will be deeply appreciated. Please share this campaign with your networks to help Juana's family.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity and support.

Yujwal tyoxh, Thank you.

Estimada comunidad,

Yujwal tyoxh, Gracias.
