Support for our grandmas funeral expenses and hospital bills

Update: It is with a heavy heart to inform that our grandmother has passed away. She was a fighter, but it was her time to be reunited with her love. We will miss her so much, but we know she's in a much happier place with her other half.

My name is Vivi, I am doing this gofundme on behalf of all my family for our grandmother. Our grandmother suffered a stroke on Monday and we are in hopes to raise funds to pay for my grandmother's hospital bills in Mexico and get her transported to a hospital in Texas.

My grandmother, Mama Kika, had been wanting to go to Monterrey and revisit her home where she once lived with her children and the great love of her life, my late grandfather. My grandmother had not been to her house for a couple of years, but since my grandfather's passing in November, she's been very adamant to visit her once called home, which is filled with her most precious and cherished memories.

So we fulfilled her wishes by taking her on the 12-hour bus ride to Monterrey on Tuesday, June 18.

On June 24, Monday morning, my grandma complained of having pain in one of her eyes and had a very painful headache. Around noon, my aunt decided to take her to the hospital, but on the taxi ride she noticed that one side of my grandmother's face was droopy. Once they arrived at the emergency room she fainted.

We were told she had suffered a massive stroke. We needed money urgently so that they could perform surgery on her. In México, you have to pay ahead of time to have any type of procedure done, emergency or not.

We have taken money from our savings and collected money amongst our family and friends, but the bill keeps adding up. My grandmother resides in Texas and has insurance and we want to transport her to a hospital in Texas where we know we can have peace of mind knowing that she will be closer to home and where her insurance can help with hospital bills.

We just want our grandma to get better with the help of God and any people that are willing to help us. Our grandmother is the matriarch of our family and our pillar. I kindly ask for any help.
