Support for Peter Jr Fern and Family

Anyone who knows Peter would all agree that he is the true meaning of a family man. The love he shows to his loving wife & best friend, Michelle, and his two children Mya and Porter, is truly inspiring. Family and community is everything to Peter, he never hesitates to lend a helping hand to any who may need it, always with a smile on his face and humour in his heart. At work, Peter's strong work ethic, integrity and easygoing nature do not go unnoticed by his coworkers.

Last week, Peter set out North of Fond du Lac to go caribou hunting to provide for his family and community. When Peter left that day, he promised to stay in communication with Michelle, like he always had. Unfortunately, this time he had not contacted when he was supposed to. With temperatures turning extremely cold, Michelle called on the community to help. The amazing people of Fond du Lac came together to support and help search for Peter.

After a lengthy time spent out in the extreme cold, other hunters found Peter severely hypothermic and frost bitten. To the men who stayed and cared for Peter while medical help arrived, you are truly thanked for everything you did. Peter was flown to Royal University Hospital where he remains to be treated for his injuries.

Peter remains unconscious with many unknowns still in RUH. His incredibly strong wife Michelle, and children Mya and Porter, and many other family members remain vigil by his side. First off, we ask you to pray for the best for Peter and his family. As we all know, times such as these place an enormous financial strain on families, so we are asking for donations to support the family during this terrible period in their lives. Between travel, accommodations, meals, and other unknown expenses, the bills can add up quickly. Any amount you can spare will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way to removing one more worry for Michelle and the family.
