Ongoing fund for Kaenchai Fairtex's children

Muay Thai superstar Kaenchai Fairtex died suddenly of a heart attack during his sleep on May 9th. Kaenchai complained of chest pains on the evening of the 8th of May. The next morning, his mother found his body covered in the milk his 3 year old son, who was sleeping next to him, had poured milk onto him in an attempt to wake him up.

It goes without saying his family, friends and students are heartbroken. Donations given by the Muay Thai community in Thailand and China covered his funeral expenses.

Sadly he leaves two very young children who will be cared for by Kaenchai’s mother. Kaenchai was the main breadwinner for the family so his mother is left without financial support.

We are inviting the Muay Thai community worldwide to come together and make a donation to help Kaenchai’s family at this very difficult time. Kaenchai and superstars like him gave so much of their life to the sport. This is a time when we can honor the contribution he made by giving a little back.

This fund will be ongoing, and outgoings will be used solely to support the children in their education as well as covering any ongoing medical needs.

Outgoings will be recorded here giving maximum transparency as to how the fund is being used.
