Support GMa's Care: A Tribute to Gpa's Love

Donation protected
Donald spent the latter years of his life lovingly caring for his lovely wife Elizabeth. In his absence, we are respectfully requesting that any donations be for assistance with her continued care. Thank you and God Bless.

Donald Clark departed this earth May 11, 2024, at the age of 87 to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A devoted family man, he spent his latter years caring for the love of his life, Elizabeth. They were married 65 years.

Friendly, gentle, tactful, charismatic, Don was always quick to share a smile, a joke, a story, or words of wisdom with anyone and everyone he encountered.

Through his work as an entrepreneur, he developed innovative ways to utilize everyday items and designed new and exciting products for various industries from cosmetics to aerospace.

The ocean called to Don. He attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and proudly served on the S.S. Eagle. He dreamed of visiting “far away places with strange sounding names”. Elizabeth and he were blessed to share many travel experiences. They often sang ballads and songs together that reminded them of their trips past and in planning. He loved dining experiences and good food and often joked of his “see-food” diet.

Donald is lovingly remembered by his children: Donna, Debbie (Leroy), Bill (Gail), Mark; grandchildren: Jeremy, Melissa, Jamie (Peter), Cody, Alicia, Spencer; great grandkids: Waylon and Westen; brother Bill (Bettiann) and niece Teri Lynn (Dave) as well as extended family and friends in Scotland. He was predeceased by his parents: Elmer B. and Dorothy (Manasse).

Family and friends will gather for a celebration of life June 4, 2024, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, IL from 11am to 2pm (family only 11-12) with a short service starting at 1:00pm. Small catered refreshments will be available.

Any donations offered in Don’s name can go to his loving wife, Elizabeth Clark, for assistance with her care. We offer you our heartfelt thanks.
